Conductor
Erik Clayton was appointed Music Director of the Williamsport Chamber Choir in September of 2011. In addition to being Music Director, Erik is currently Co-Director of Choirs at Williamsport Area High School and Organist and Choir Director at Trinity Episcopal Church, Williamsport. Erik received undergraduate degrees in Music Education and Piano Performance, and a Masters Degree in Piano Performance from Penn State University. During his time at Penn State he studied conducting with Lynn Drafall, Christopher Kiver and Gerardo Edelstein, and conducted the chamber choir Discantus. During both his undergraduate and graduate studies, Erik won numerous awards for performance including the Golumbic and Leight awards for solo performance, and first place in the MTNA Pennsylvania State Conference chamber music competition. He currently resides in Williamsport with his wife and two children.
